My husband went a rescued another oscar from Wal Mart last night. It is a very small baby, about an inch big, which means we cant put it with the other one right now because it would become food. We do have 3 options and wanted to get other people opinion on which one. Now mind you this is ONLY till it is big enough to go in with the other one or we find another tank.

Option#1 is our comunity tank. It has 1 bata 1 angel 3 cory cats 2 algee eaters 7 tetras. It is a 29gal

Option#2 is also a 29gal and has 1 algee eater 1 cat and 5 angels.

Option#3 is a 5gal that it would be with only a cat and algee eater.

What I do want you to be aware of is the Angels are my babys and dont want them hurt. Which do you feel would be the better on tempareily

I would try option 2 first. Angels and Oscars generally get along very well. But I hope this is VERY temporary... And I am wondering how you will work this as your original Oscar is still young correct? He will continue to grow, and the baby will grow, But the baby may not catch the big Oscar till they are adults. Just a thought.

hi Nicki Sue this is wstewarts husband the older oscaris about 7 inches long and it really hasn't grown in the past couple months that I noticed. And I know that when and if I can get the baby alone I can start feeding it pellets and it will grow very fast. In this my thinking isthe baby{tiger} can get to half the size of the big one {albino tiger} rather quickly. at which time I can introduce them to each other.
oh my wife has just infomed me that her name is Wendy not wstewart sorrrrrry

LOL...OK well I guess the best you can do is try! I am a bit puzzled as to why your big Oscar is just 7 inches? and not growing so fast anymore... How old is it? Or rather how long have you had it?

Hey Nicki Sue this is Wendy. The reason Randy is thinking putting it by it's self is so it can eat properly. I know you said that baby oscars and angels tend to get along but will the angels eat the oscar pelltes if we put them in that tank? and if so what would you recommend?

LOL, I see you each have an account now! Good! LOL You can feed the Oscar, Oscar pellets and feed the Angels sinking pellets.. That is what I always did. Plus the Angels will eat what comes out of the Oscars gills!
