So as some of you know, I had a fish jump to his death recently. At that time I had just the glass lids and the light on the top of the tank. After that happen, I placed a piece of wood that is similar to a cabinet door on top. Last night I was awoken to the sound of that coming crashing to the floor. Luckily no one jumped out.

My question....... what do you use to keep your O's in the tank??

Obviously a substantial lid, or maybe a condensation cover is the best way to stop to fish jumping out. I have got a very long piece of Perspex, a similar material that greenhouses are constructed of. this piece of plastic is 8 foot long & 2 1/2 foot wide so there really isn't much chance of my fish being able to dislodge this.

If you are using a flimsy lid then the best advice I can give you is to weigh it down when you're not around

and put the "No skydiving sign" closer to the tank, where the fish can actually see the sign!
Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small!
