Well folks it is official!... I am now a member of the "Big Boy Tank" Club, well kinda'.

I picked up my tank today. It is a 140 Gallon Acrylic Aquarium. I cleaned up the tank and stand and positioned it in my living room. Tomorrow will be sand, water, filters, and decorations. I think my fish are going to enjoy their new home.

The dimensions are 72.5"Long, 24"Deep, 18.5"Tall.

Thanks Paul. I am not quite sure what "C.O" is. (I am guessing some sort of snug fit)

Yeah Paul, I am very excited. The thing that amazed me about this acrylic tank is they are MUCH lighter than glass. I thought I would have to call a friend to help me move the tank, but it was light enough my wife was able to grab one side. I think my 60 gallon glass tank might weigh more. And the seals are really nice.

Anyway, real happy. I was surprised how good of condition this tank is in. Can't beat it for $250. The guy that sold it to me said I was getting a steal of deal, but he had an urgent bill he had to take care of. So his loss, my gain.

ha ha ha... C.O. means convenient outlet... a socket where you
plug appliances for power. the C.O. i was referring to is the
one at the lower right corner where something had been plug-in.

yeah, acrylic weigh far less that the glass and it won't just
broke easily even if loaded with water. unlike in glass, just a
light metallic tap and it will burst right away.

Oh, I see. That makes sense.
Actually I have an outlet behind the tank that I will be using. That outlet you mentioned in front side will be a backup outlet.

Cool tank!
Congratz, and welcome to the Big League.

And i see you can still get rid of your TV in case you are gonna go for an even bigger tank in the future.

Your fish will love this.
If your filters are cycled, you can transfer the water, decor and filters and put the fish in right after.
I did the same when upgrading to my 90Gl and i did it all in one day.

Thanks Noddy. Yeah, I think I will just line all my walls in the house with tanks; then just when I finish waterchanging and doing maintenance on all my tanks... i can start doing them all again.

Your spot on in regards to moving the fish to the new tank. With my 3 tanks (55g, 60g, 30g) I have tons of benificial bacteria. Should be a reasonably smooth transition. My biggest challenge right now is to see what fish I can combo off the bat. I think I need to grow out my Oscars more before I introduce the JD and RD; (that may be a whole other thread)

I'd love to have room for a telly.....then I'd get rid of it again and get another tank!
No room left for a TV, but i don't miss it after all those years.
And every time the Boss comes up with new "Bear Grills stuff" i'm thrilled i got no TV.
