gotcha. sorry i read the post to quick and didn't see all the details. i think it would be an interesting mix. i am very curious about discus. i wonder if they can be mixed successfully with other cichlids, even though it goes against what the "experts" say.

well i know discus cant be put with agressive fish and my fish r supposed to be agressive but my BP and OB peacock and so mellow and eat swim and poop so i dont think thered be any agression do you think that size tank would be big enough for the three of them though

Discus are very sensitive fish to poor water quality and stress.
Just wait till your a little older with a larger tank to try tackling discus.

This guy has it spot on. I have read some of your other posts Matt and to be honest to you discus would not last a day in your tank. water conditions MUST be perfect. sorry its not what you probably want to here, they are lovely looking fish but very sensitive. parrots are solid durable fish and worth considering as a starting fish.

DONT GET DISCUS

They are expensive fish to buy even when small and they need really really great water quality. When i kept them i used to do 2 or 3 water changes a week (30%) and you need soft water. They are picky eaters and can go off food and sometimes die- its one of the problems of keeping discus- no one is sure why they do this. Discus are difficult fish to keep and sensitive. The best way to keep discus is in a species tank. You need at least 6 of them!! If you have a tank mate who is even slightly aggressive (like a parrot fish) discus will suffer

A good discus tank can look nearly as good as a marine tank but its loads and loads of work!!!!
