Hey all... yep it's me. Sorry I've been gone and I'm sure you all missed me. LOL New photos coming soon by the way!
So I have given up on a feeder tank. I still have my little pleco in my 30 gallon tank. He is growing like crazy but lonely in his tank! I am looking for some type of African Cichlid... something that will do good in a 30 gallon tank - something colorful. The tank will not be upgraded so I want to make sure they will not out grow the tank. I'd like to have a couple different fish in there... make the tank look occupied !
Rams would be great and 2 or 3 would do just fine in that tank... I also LOVE Kribinsis cichlids, and they stay small too... You could do 1 male and 2 or 3 females!!!
It's NOT smart to piss off the girl with the BAN button!

I just looked up the Kribinsis cichlids... wow those are cool !!!
Follow up question. Let's say instead of Kribs, I'll choose some other. Can I keep any kind of cichlid that I want provided it will be just around 4" to 5" when it reach maturity. Does it all depends on the fish's size or is there any other criteria to take into consideration when choosing what is appropriate for a smaller tank like a 20G. Please confirm my understanding. Thanks.

Id say when it comes down to it you can have whatever fish you like in a 20g as long as the water is ok, however it would be like putting you in a 5x6 room with great airflow and plenty of food. You can certainly live but your quality of life wouldnt be the best. I think when people say there is a minimum tank size its more for the fishes own quality of life than the fact it could or couldn't live in the tank. Now im in no way recommending that you go out and buy an Oscar for a 20g even with the worlds best filteration because again it could live, but it could also hate being alive.
e.g
those fish maybe able to live in that tank (for now) with that filteration (maybe) but i guarantee they will hate eachother and prolly you too for it :]

Any one have any other suggestions? I love both of these but I was hoping for more choices... like a buffet ya know!!
