Pacu get very big indeed, I hope you've got a huge tank?

I don't think it is very common for parrots cichlids to successfully breed because they are actually a hybrid species. Having said that, I did read that they can breed occasionally. A friend of mine has kept them for a long time and whereas they lay eggs on a regular basis, they have never successfully hatched them. That's about as far as my knowledge goes with these fish.

my pacu is still small... at least 2-3 inch head to tail...

well all i can say is that my parrots today is the sibling of my 1st 6 parrots(only 2 remains and they are in my friends tanks)... so their is a small chance they successfully breed...

btw, my parrots has a HUMP on its head... Like a flower horn...

parrots as a general oar infertile. a pair will go through all the breeding procedures right down to laying and guarding the eggs but since 99% of all males are infertile noneof the eggs will hatch.

now getting back to your stock list you have 8 parrots and 2 red pacus in your tank. did you know that parrots can grow to about 6-8 inches in length and pacus are simply huge. i dont know what tank size you have but unless it is very large(in the 300 gallon range) i would strongly recommend maybe rehoming some of your fish before you start to run into water problems.

just my opinion
Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!

once in my fish keeping, i had tried red pacu.......
it grows up to 14 inches in solitary at 50 gal tank.
i sold it to one of my friends including the tank. unfortunately,
he is not good in fish keeping and it died 3 months later.

even if your eggs will gonna hatch, the pacu will take care of
the hatchling one by one.

in my oscar, from off-white to brownish.
brownish color means fertilized.

theres not a lot you can do realy!!!!!!!! you will just have to watch them closely and see if they hatch.....if you get fry you can net them quickly and place them in a fry trap ....but if the eggs turn white they are dead!!!! removing eggs before they hatch is a bad idea and the clutch will most certainly fail !!!!!!!!
