Would a Electric Blue be ok with Oscars, Terrors and Silver Dollars? One Oscar is slightly aggressive, he only runs the others out of his territory, never bites or anything. If I keep falling in love with beautiful cichlids we're gonna have to add on to the house !

What size tank do you have? How many of each fish do you have? And by electric blue are you meaning that it is an electric blue jack dempsey?

We have 180 gallon tank with 2 four inch Oscars, 2 four inch Green Terrors and the SD are about the same. It's not a Jack, I'm not sure excactly what it is but here is a link.

That is an african cichlid. Most people say that it is not wise to mix africans and south americans. African cichlids can be overly aggresive at times. You could always try it but you would have to keep a close eye on how it gets along with the others. If the african does not get along with the others you will have to rehome it.

I think I'm gonna set up another tank and get some colorful ones and leave the bada**'s the way they are in the big tank

I had one a very long time ago, I had to trade it in cos the little bugger kept nipping the oscars tail. didn't do much damage but the chasing was a pain to the Oscar.

Pseudotropheus sp. "Msobo Deep is a zebra cichlid sub-speceis that only grow to about 5 inches long. the main reason not to house them with south americans is their diet. the fish live primarily off vegetive matter and can develop a disease called bloat if fed a protein rich diet like oscars get. other than that they prefer a ph in th 8-8.5 range which is a little high for oscars.
Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!

African, isn't he beautiful? I saw about 20 cichlids in a large tank the other day and just love their bright colors. I'm gonna get another tank set up this weekend and re-read about fishless cycling then get a couple. My Oscars won't let me have live plants but I'm planning a nice planted tank for these beauties
