Convicts were the first cichlids I got. Now I have 3 tanks packed with Cichlidy goodness, and i'm looking at expanding, which is ridiculous to say the least considering how long i've been doing this.
But looking at my original 3 cichlids, I believe i've discovered that one of them is not like the other ones!
I can't find my camera at the moment, but after looking at the full growns, the other juvvies and and this fella (assuming) He doesn't really follow the body shape nor the colouring of the convicts.
He's more triangular, far darker and the bars he does have only extend about mid way off. The top of him is dark dark grey and his bars are black.
He's also much more aggressive than the other juvvies, though he doesn't mess with the Oscars or the Dempsey.
He's also taller but not as long, and his fins are far sharper looking.
I know it's a long shot trying to figure it out this way, but I'd really like to know what this little fella is. If you guys have any ideas...?
