jags, like all the parachromis species, are large aquatic predators. they can grow to around the 18 inch mark(for males) and can be quite aggressive when mature.
i have a breeding pair of them and i find them very personable and owner responsive (similar to an oscar in that reguards) albeit quite volatile when spawning.
the male of the species, when mature, will have an impressive pattern with teal and blue highlights along his back and dorsal fin area. local varients can also have yellow highlights as well.
as you already know they do make good long term tankmates for oscars but then neither do doviis and since you already have a plan for your o's when the aggression of your quapotes increase you should be fine with them in your large tank.
good luck with them they are awesome fish to have.
