Well as most of u all know i have a Dovii I named him Lucifer. Well in some past post i was asking about a jag. well i bought klnow and he got eatin like 2 days after buying him by my dovii (lucifer) I was watchin him again today and watch him shread my Crappie i put in there like a month ago. litterly shread him down to the bone on his back end kinda freaky so i put my oscars in my 120 gallon because i dont want him to get any ideas on my O's. hes only like 3.5 to 4 inches long.. but just wanted to update you guys..

So, Dovii are really that bad-ass, eh?

I dont know much about dovii but i heard that they are really really aggressive and will batter and batter fish and will shred fish. If you have a mixed tank with a dovii in, you will end up with a tank with only a dovii in. As said i dont know much about dovii and so am willing to be corrected

edit: ironic also i forgot to mention, i have a foot long koi fish named lucifer. im convinced he will one day shoot me with lightning bolts fired from his eyes.

and ty bgh, they are in a 55 gallon tank in my living room, my sister's aquarium, but ive been watchin it a bit now since she went off to college, and truthfully, i told her not to buy the damn things in the first place because i knew they would get big... and id be the one that got elected to go dig the damn pond in the backyard.... it did get pretty crowded and the water stayed cloudy but i took out all but 2 of the goldfish (only because she absolutly wouldnt let me take out her fantail and common that shes had about 8 years now), and gave 2 of the largest koi away after one of them died (that was right before she left and the tank wasnt in my care at that time)... meh... i feel kinda bad really... but now... they got more room and the water is crystal clear and in good shape now that there is less fish in it... but its just a matter of time till they get really big, as it is now they are "almost" as long as the tank is deep. just a matter of time now... ive already hid the shovel. haha

Yea i got the crappie from a lake down the street. and yea i know i was told not to get a dovii but it was a fish i have always wanted and my father wanted one to they seem pritty hard around here to get them so once i had the chance i jumped on it. Yea i know the fish will be vry aggresive and thats why i have a back up tank up and running for my O's so my O's wont get hurt. I should of been thinking more about this dovii but like i said i found it so i bought it. kind of a spert of the moment thing. its kinda bad im nervis even know to put my hand into the tank because hes starting to chase my hand and will swim up and hut the glass if i walk by the tank.. I heard they are very aggressive but yet i heard that about my O's and there like puppies.. so i didnt know it would be this bad...

nice, i live on a lake, and its pretty well loaded with crappie. if my boat hadnt sank and ruined the motor on it id prolly be out fishin on it right now lol. u can only cast off the same pier so many times before you start to lose interest lol

Higuys i didnt want to open a new thread about this fish just an update im trying to guess on the sex of the fish. i got one pic that wasnt completely blurred because of the fish swimming so much. its still blurry but any guess on the sex my guess is a female so far because the fins are rounded off and no hump on the head yet but the blue spotsmake me think male unless its just a colorful female or just a late blummer on the male end..
