My convicts are full grown, but I want some babies!! How can I distinguish male from female? If I go get another male/female, will they all three mate/get along?

males- elongated fins
females- orange coloration on belly and fins

one you have a male and a female, they WILL reproduce.

the easiest way to tell is simply look for the additional colouring on the female convict. It will become EXTREMELY obvious particularly when they are ready to breed.
New to the whole Oscars thing..

James, this is a thread that shows a BEAUTIFUL female... There bellies are Orange, more so when they are ready to lay eggs! Too bad you aren't closer. I have 2 males, and 3 females all breeding that i have to rehome...
