Soo i've been wanting an Oscar for a loooong time so i got all the supplies i could afford and then figured "Hey, why be scared of not being able to provide for it when i can get a different fish i can actually care for" and soo i looked around and Jack Dempseys caught my eye. So i did research and found out that i have all the requirements. And so i went to Petco and picked out a male and female, my female is a lil bigger than the male, and bought them. Im so excited! When the lady asked me how i could tell the difference between them, i told her. But she knew quite a bit of info on cichlids and other fish. And she got them in the bag and they started fighting but then settled down. I got home and put the bag in the aquarium and all the other tank mates (A few small goldfish, a koi and a black moor) all gathered around and made the JD's go nuts! I loved it! But after a lil bit i let them out and they already claimed the hiding spot. They are only an inch or two big but they are boss lol. I cant wait to watch these guys grow! And i plan on moving them to my bigger aquarium once it gets fixed.
