Does anyone have any experience with Red Terrors? I saw a pic on line and the are some of the most beautiful cichlids I`ve seen. I was just wondering if they are as aggressive as the Green Terrors?

By all accounts Red Terrors are highly aggressive. According to my Cichlid book, a breeding pair of red terrors are more than capable of killing every other fish in their tank. They have also been known to jump out of the water and attack the hand of anyone venturing near the eggs.

Thanks everyone for the info. I will keep them in mind one of these days when I do a super aggressive tank. My Oscars and Dempseys are like family so I wouldn`t want to put them through the stress of fighting all the time.

they look similar to red devil, as far as body size and the nuchal hump, and apparently just as crazy!

Green Terrors are also extremely viscious when it comes to eggs and mine has bitten me several times when I put my hand in the tank, and shes only 3 inches!
