Even though the black markings are slightly different to mine, I'm pretty sure they are still green Sevs. As for the sex, I would hazard a guess at female since the markings on the head area are very similar to mine. However, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong

mine (which is a young adunlt green sev) looks v.similiar except the blackline in the middle, mine is the same except for the two middles lines, where as yrs has 5 black stripes mine only has the first and last, with a gap in the middle! lol

heres mine i'm gonna say male because of the pointed fins

i been wondering about my Sev for a while as well. Pretty sure i got a female green Sev, pretty dull in colour, no worm like marking on the gills just some spot, however it has long pointed dorsel and anal fins.....was hoping for something more colorfull when it was brought.

btd71 i realy like the look of ur rokteil, if i order a rokteil in at my lfs i should expect some simallar colours???? i might have to look in to it

when you say "worm like markings" - can you please explain what that means? the lack of these markings indicates a probable female?

The only thing I had known about sexing them is the extended/ponted dorsel & anal fins indicating a likely male.
