whilst i have a fair bit of knowlage about keeping oscars and other SA cichilds i dont know where to start with africans and i have a friend who has just obtaind a 2 foot tank(not sure about hight or depth at this stage)and wants to set it up with africans. Would 2 foot be big enough? is any species that stay small enough to live in a 2 foor for life?? any advice would be great

I have a little 2'x 1' wide and 15"s high and it is my intension to put african cichlids in it when it is cycled. Some of the Lake Malawi ones Just an asortment.
Should'nt be long now til it is done.....

HI when i kept malawis it is best to overstock and over filter and put them all in at same time so thay dont claim a space of there own or thay will kill any new mates
imo i think your tank will be ok for few yellow labs i may be wrong
