Some parrots are dyed, but many aren't. The calico and red varieties aren't, but the blue and yellow ones are. Please don't buy a fish that is dyed, it a very cruel process and the fish are injected with dye using needles that would be the size of pencils to us. Not to mention they live unusually short lives.

My 9'' Jack Dempsey Jade died yesterday:( Was very old. Right now the only CA's i have are a convict cichlid. I'll be getting another jack dempsey and some more cons soon.

Sorry to hear your JD died. 9" is a pretty nice sized JD! How long did it take to get to that length and how old was it when it died?

Thanks. She was 2 1/2 years old and a rescue fish that i got with serious HITH. I didn't expect her to live long, she was beautiful fish though.

parrot fish cant close their mouths, thats a little weird.
