toni-a created the topic: What killed the fry ??

Had 12 platty fry in a bowel, they have been living there and growing for a week with daily waterchange.
Yesterday I found sponge filters and added a sponge filter.
This morning found some fry dead.
Is it the water turbulence from the air bubbles ?
Also note today a bomp exploded very close, could it be the blast from the bomb ?

hey toni sorry to hear that some of your frys are dead ~

i wouldn't think the current from a sponge filter will kill off your frys ~

wow a bomb??? =( hope everythings ok..

doubt a blast wave will kill them also ~

test the water .. maybe it's something in there

small fries are very fragile...you should not add yet anything in the tank.
where did you get the sponge filter? is it new or used?
it should have been run in an establish big tank before using in fries' tank.

vibration from the blast will not affect the isolated tank unless there
is any glass broken in your house due to blast vibration and wave!
