The fry are still developing, they can be easily affected by bacteria that is normally harmless

Bare bottom?? Are you vaccing up the uneaten food 2-4 hours after feeding?? Frozen bbs can foul the water very fast and it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria

that sounds like a logic approach, I feed them in the morning and do the vac at night.
I know they eat all the time si I deliberately overfeed them relying on the night gravel vac.
how do u suggest I organize feeding ? I go back to crushed flakes and use artemia 2 hours before gravel vac ?

That's exactly what I would do, currently I fed my fry decapitulated brine shrimp eggs in the morning and fresh hatched bbs at night then vac and do a 20% wc before bed
