I have a 15 gallon fry tank with four juvenile one inch green terrors running with a small canister.
Just got a sponge filter/airstone.
I installed it in parents tank for one week and now moved it to fry tank, it seems to have a strong output and bubbles from filter are creating some noise and shaking water surface area.
Fry are swimming normally even though there's constant water moving in the tank.
Is it deletrious for fry or useful ?
I have lost so many, now have only four precious fry

It sounds like the babies are big enough now that the filter won't be a disturbance. The purpose of the sponge filter is to disturb the waters surface, so it is working as intended.

At 1" your babies are big enough now that they're able to handle things much better than when they were still fry.

Sponge filters are hands down the best for fry, they don't create strong currents in the tank and not strong enough to such fry up
