Anyone have any clue on if they sell heater guards for the 300watt jager heaters? If so any reputable name brands?

No eBay APP ID défined in Kunena configurationJBJ True Temp Magnetic Heater Holder or something like this:

should do the job nicely.

Otherwise, DIY:
Get a piece of pvc pipe that's big enough so your heater can fit inside it, plus some extra space (about half a centimeter at least all the way around). Drill it full of holes.

There are two ways to make it stay over your heater, either drill holes especially for suction cups, and attach suction cups (and use your heaters suction cups on the inside of the tube to attach the heater to it - make sure there are no holes where you want the heater's suction cups to hold on), or cut out a long, thin section that will slide between your heater and its suction cups, and slide it in.

If you want, you can 'decorate' this PVC pipe with sand, fake plants and the like to make it hide your heater completely, just be wary about hindering water flow around your heater - water must be able to flow easily.

Here's a guy who built one: www.arofanatics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=345415
BUT: in his design, the pipe is far too close to the heater, and is very likely to melt over the long term. Leave more water space :)
Still, it illustrates what I mean nicely.

I use the same guard Nina posted for my Jager 300watt heater. I live in Australia so it was purchased under the Aqua One brand name, but it's the same thing.

I bought 2 guards and used 1.5 of them, 2 tops and one bottom half as they interlock with eachother. Using just one of those guards alone only covers about 2 thirds of the heater, better to be safe than sorry. One of my already chomped my first Jager 300 in half and they are not cheap.
