Speaking of Butch, how's he doing since his extra-tank excursion?

He's better every day, I will put up a video.

I would recommend stepping up your WC regimen; 40% every 10 days for large cichlids in insufficient. I would recommend you do 75% 1X per week @ least, w/ a thourough gravel vacuuming.

THOSE WHO REFUSE KNOWLEDGE ARE DOOMED TO FAIL.

WATER CHANGES ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS HOBBY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE SO OR SIMPLY DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING THEM, RE-HOME YOUR FISH, SELL YOUR AQUARIUM & FIND ANOTHER HOBBY, AS YOU WILL FAIL UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, & MISERABLY.

Agreed, you really can't change your water too much, I mean you could do 50% daily and still be just fine.

fishguy66 wrote: Here's the thing w/ that.......you can get fish HUGE, like I did, by feeding high-quality, high protein prepared foods, suplementing w/ live food, like giant mealworms & nightcrawlers, & doing frequent, massive WC's, & never giving them a feeder fish. Take a look @ my Jag, he's around 2 years old, & he's 13" long,& I've never given him feeder fish of any kind.

fish guy what do u call "high protein prepared foods"? cause know im sticking to high quality pellets, fruits and veggies and frozen foods and live insects a couple time a month
