That has got to be one aggressive cichlid.

1st off, that's a wild color pattern on that male. Great looking fish!! That being said.......If you don't want to have Jag/Convict x-breeds, get her outta there, immediately if not sooner!! Female cons will breed w/ anything if given the chance. If they pair up & form a bond, there is a strong chance of them doing serious damage to the other 2 Jags in that tank, & that male may not accept them as mates afterwards,& I know that's not what your after. I'm thinking that's why the only female that I see in that vid is that Con, who is displaying to the male every time he swims in her direction; she's trying to form a pair bond w/ that male.

Thanks a lot jack I am loving the colors to!!! they are much better than I expected

with all that being said .... looks like as I water change today I will be moving the pink convict to the african tank for a little ... I thought the PC would help buffer aggression but I am not in the Business for hybrid SA cichlids right now....

She will be moved for sure ... I just hope they dont kill each other over it...

also some of the females are out later in the night just not ever during the day to be honest

Ed,
Have you thought about some of the larger barbs, like Tinfoil or T-bars, or some Red-Tailed Chalceus; big, fast, & good-looking fish, particularly the RT Chalceus. Would make a good choice as a dither/target fish......

Red-Tailed Chalceus

10" max length

What about roseline sharks? They get to about 4.5 inches

Roseline sharks, while beautiful, would make a nice snack for a Jag,(they would fit easily into that mouth) & are quite expensive.....

The 10" max length on RTC's is an estimate, I have seen them around a foot to 13".
