Ocellaris or Orinocencis would be my best guess......

THOSE WHO REFUSE KNOWLEDGE ARE DOOMED TO FAIL.

WATER CHANGES ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS HOBBY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE SO OR SIMPLY DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING THEM, RE-HOME YOUR FISH, SELL YOUR AQUARIUM & FIND ANOTHER HOBBY, AS YOU WILL FAIL UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, & MISERABLY.

Yeah, Cichla species grow HUGE, as in tank-buster, (I wouldn't think about keeping one in anything less than a 180GL aquarium) & they demand seriously pristine water, & they can be difficult to get to eat non-living food. Frozen prawn in the outflow of a filter sometimes works.....

I caught 3 of these down in Florida several years ago, & MAN, what a beast they are.....what a fight!! B)

If you can find intermedia aka royal peacock bass they will fit in a 8x2x2 tank since they only grow up to 22"

Google is your friend. There are pictures of juvenile cichla intermedia on the web.
