BlueMoonJay created the topic: Tank Mate Ideas for Angel 55

Ok, need some quick ideas for my current running 55. Stock list includes 2 angels, 1 black mollie, and 5" common pleco. I still have 2 baby angels that very well may transfer into this tank once they are bigger.

Also, this is more a question for someone with more knowledge than myself, but how do I stop or slow down my angels from spawning until I can grab a tank for them?

Apistogrammas

Separate the angels if you don't want them to spawn.

you could try rainbows either rainbows or rainbow cichlids :)

If you want them to slow down spawning get a raf it will eat the eggs. Downfloor though when you want them to have fry ;)

I'm living my life, but not necessarily in the right order :)

Easy lower the temperature set your heater to 22 or 23 celcius (72 to 75 fahrenheit) they will become much less aggressive and far less likely to spawn

corydoras (panda) make a nice addition on the bottom and perhaps a couple of bristlenoses. i'd just leave the fry in there and if you add a pictus cat they'll vanish faster then you can count them :p

160 gallon south american
190 gallon malawi

It's ironic I asked that question because I just came home and they have spawned yet again. I put in a tank divider to seperate the mollie and pleco to see what will happen.

I used to keep pictus a long time ago, but now they average around $15 a piece here. Also, the last set of cory's I had got ate by my Senegal Bichir.
