I might get another Oscar haha I do love those guys they are awesome fish and anyway it would be nice to get one that grows big since I think my tiger in my 75 is a dwarf he's got up to about 6 inches and has like completely stopped growing I think it's just genetic.

Oscar is the way to go imo, you should get a veil tail long fin oscar and become apart of the few and proud :)

You might try a pair of Salvini Cichlids.

I liked your Idea of Thorichthys meeki ( firemouth) but there is a lot of really awesome Thorichthys out there! might be worth trying to breed some ..

since you already have an oscar this is my vote a nice little breeding project ;)

South American pike cichlids are known to be personable.

I would go for any group but crenicichla lugubris group. The lugubris group gets over 12" easy.

Some species

Crenicichla Acutirostris

Crenicichla saxatilis

How often do you do partial water changes & how much each time?

A RD in a 55 would be fine, as long as it's the only inhabitant.

THOSE WHO REFUSE KNOWLEDGE ARE DOOMED TO FAIL.

WATER CHANGES ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS HOBBY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE SO OR SIMPLY DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING THEM, RE-HOME YOUR FISH, SELL YOUR AQUARIUM & FIND ANOTHER HOBBY, AS YOU WILL FAIL UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, & MISERABLY.

For that tank I do 50 percent once a week. And clean the filters every 2 weeks my nitrates are always around 15 and nitrite and ammonia are at 0. I really think he's just genetically dwarf like lol.

How old is the Oscar you have ? Because around a year old or so their growth does slow down quite a bit....
