Here are my hecklii again my video cannot catch them which sucks .. but you can see the male really is getting beautiful .. I will be changing up the tank to be better for breeding soon (more cave action) but the females are just a little to young yet to breed.. but I have raise the male from a little larger than a fry so if he breeds I will be very excited about it !

they are extremely hard to breed so this is a big project for me!

Sssssoofffffttttt & acidic water & may be the key, Ed, along w/ frequent PWC & live food, like some chopped earthworms. Just throwing it out there.... B)

He'll have to have soft water ready for the PWC, otherwise, it will stay close to the hardness and ph of his tap water. Unless of course his tap water is already soft.

Great looking threadfins Eddie,

I wish you the best of luck! I read somewhere that you can use a large pvc t fittining, and attatch a capped riser to it to encourage breeding in this fish. It simulates the cave environment.

Great looking fish Eddie. One is a little on the shy side ? Beautiful colors. But not expecting anything less from your fish. :)
So I guess now its time to break out the Barry Manilow and chopped up earthworms. :P
Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

best of luck with the breeding man, those are some nice fish and you deserve some small ones after all the hard work you put into them :)
