CalebZachary created the topic: Green terror hurt badly

So since I set up my tanks I noticed the firemouth and oscar chased the terror. Nothing bad until tonight I came downstairs and the O and FM were beating up the terror and he wasnt moving. I immediately took the terror out and threw him in my 50 gallon. He was barely moving in the big tank and I can tell he's wounded pretty bad. What can I do? I was cleaning out the 50 as I rehomed the pleco and so I immediately filled up dosed with prime and api stress coat. What else can I do?

Ill try to get a picture. They're bad. He can move a little bit. He goes from laying on his side to back to stomach. I'm trying to get the water nice and clear because I was removing the substrate

do not worry about water clarity, if its new and conditioned let it be. the rest will settle, he needs to be feeling safe, again he is stressed, do more cleaning after he is comfy ware he is. hopefully he pulls through, laying on there side or enable to stay straight up is not a good sign. best I can advise is leave him be and see what you have in the morning.

The visible cloudy ness will not effect him good clean water , leave the lights down or off for a few days. Hope he makes it through the night. Do not be in a hurry to try to feed. I take it the ripped him up good? Do lots of changes be very careful to keep the temp stable. The first day is the hardest. If you get through that they will generally come round. Hope for no serious internal problems.

Sorry to hear, Caleb. GT is a cool fish. I had to move mine a couple times to find a spot where he fit in. Thats the cichlid world for ya.
