Thanks! And yeah, ONE umbee in the 6x2x2, regardless if male or female. If female, she might be able to live there permanently, if male we'll be upgrading to something ridiculous ;)

It'll look pretty funny for a while. This little guy/girl is only 5cm long at the moment. I'll have to put an arrow pointing to him whenever I put up a pic of the tank.

and the sad part is....it's a single species tank ...

you can try adding an umbee to a community tank...but i'm talking about 500+ gallons.

let's see them pics when you get that little guy.

Lam.. little Bruin has been a good eater since day1. He gets Massivore, Hikari Gold, Omega1, fd krill, shrimp, tilapia, bloodworm, earthworm, tubifex worms. Not into any veg feed, but gets his vitamin and spirulina with his fish and shrimp.
Jack.. he is far more outgoing than the first couple weeks. Swims the entire tank, spends a lot of time snapping at bubbles from the Aquaclears. Comes right up for food, but skitters away if I get right up against the tank. Dithers? Nah. I'd have to QT anything from local stores. I think he is doing very well. I just cant get a real good eye on him, the temp tank is kinda wedged into a space that had my wife's curio cabinet, and has very little space around it. I cant even tell if he's coloring up any. Just been keeping the water clean, feeding well. Once he hits the 125, I'll see what I have here. Could even be a female for all I know?

I may not be the Boss, but I'm ALWAYS right!

I can't get the link to open....but any B complex vitamins for humans dissolved will work....I used Rite Aid brand B12 complex, 2 pills soaked in water until dissolved.

THOSE WHO REFUSE KNOWLEDGE ARE DOOMED TO FAIL.

WATER CHANGES ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS HOBBY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE SO OR SIMPLY DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING THEM, RE-HOME YOUR FISH, SELL YOUR AQUARIUM & FIND ANOTHER HOBBY, AS YOU WILL FAIL UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, & MISERABLY.

The link was just to... I think it was Cenovis brand B vitamin complex. Spirulina powder's easy to get so that's easy done.

I can't wait till Tuesday. Thanks for all the kind words everybody! :D

Hah... so it begins. Between the two of us, my partner and I have had, in the last 24 hours, at least 5 people questioning why on earth we're putting a single fish in a 6x2x2 even though we said outright it could get to 2ft long.

I just can't wait to show them pictures of it in there as a tiny little baby. The reactions will be priceless.

Also got a lovely offer from one of my partner's workmates to put some goldfish in the tank with the umbee
