is this what brooskie calls hijacking a thread if i rember right lol and what does that even mean
You generally don't want to hijack 'informational' threads, or threads where someone is asking for advice by asking for advice yourself and taking the focus away from that person getting help with their own unique problem. Like, say, if you were asking about the efficacy of transdermal inoculation through use of volcano bubblers, and I jumped in and asked for advice about using burlap sacks to trap hydrocephalic midgets dressed in clown costumes in order to obtain any golden treasure they might possibly be concealing, if any.
But if it's a goofy thread of no particular informational value, the chances of a hijack are raised exponentially...kinda like sailing a ship filled with precious cargo through Somali waters. The temptation might be
too great to resist for some of our less, shall we say, 'noble' posters.
This is best evidenced in a thread PAUL created showing pics of himself cleaning one of his numerous tanks and it devolved into the best means in which to prepare him for human consumption, the consistency and frequency of his fecal movements, and preferred hair stylings for available young men circa 1970's-80's Philippines.
Does it make more sense now?
That being said...I see no hijack in this thread. Everything was generally topical. If I were to take this
particular thread off topic I would ask PENN about the frequency in which he dons a 'Qing Guanmao' (the traditional headwear of officials during the Qing Dynasty in China), as a visual representation of his authority and status as Administrator of OFL.
