hey just wonderin if anyone can tell if i could have a firemouth cichlid with an oscar.

Its usialy hit or miss you could take ten other fish and put with an oscar and he might only like one or two, so give it a shot if you like idk anything about that fish so ill let other people chime in.

Firemouths make excellent companions for oscars.

Just a couple of things to take into account. If you put a small firemouth in with an oscar that can fit it in his mouth then the oscar is likely to try to eat it. Also all fish are different, you may be unlucky and get a particularly aggressive firemouth with a wuss oscar or you may have a really agressive oscar that wont tolerate any fish. But nearly all the time firemouths are great with oscars

agree with delboybully. unless your O is extremely aggressive, firemouth will be a perfect tank mate for ur O

I have 2 firemouths with my 2 o's. They're all under 4 inches at the moment and doing good. I also have 2 severums in there too. They all seem to get along very well.
