that's exactly why i don't play lotteries and don't want to have too much money.
I bet I have even crazier ideas...but:

quote:
“They have a collection of cars, of motorcycles, of art, they have three dogs,” Mr. Stevens said. “It’s like, ‘What else, what’s the next thing to wow my friends?’

the next thing to wow my friends????
Get a Mars bar and squeeze that between your buns.
Then, when you have your friends around, run around the house naked, jump on the table and bend over deep, while shouting: "Just because i can, just because i can!"

That'll cost you a buck and you'll "wow" your friends just as much, or even more!

Sorry if that was unappropriate, and i don't want to ruin this thread,
but these folks motives are a bit questionable, to say the least.

Anyways, How much you want to bet they know jack sh*t about fish and just have some maintenance guy come in and take care of it for them. Just another piece of furniture, really. Listen to the guy, "I think the fish like the pretty blue...DUUURRR."
A beautiful tank absolutely, and I wish I had the means to have something like that...but to me unless you are the one who creates and maintains it it means about as much as the coffee table. Fish tanks to me are an awesome piece of decor, but it surely is not their primary purpose.

That guy is probably the type of guy who bought his 'harley,' and then bought matching leather chaps and a matching harley leather coat with fringe in the harley gift shop so he can ride around with his dentist and pediatrician buddies on the weekend. Born to be wiiiild, huh....

I'd not even be willing to spend that much money, if it weren't for my own enjoyment , but only to wow your friends.

That is a heck of a set up but send me some of that money they don't know what to do with. I'm sure Red and Opie would like a 200 gallon tank. With $200,000 I could have paid off my medical bills, other nasty bills, bought a car that runs decent and put the rest in the bank for retirement. Especially since there won't be any social security when I get up there in age!

However Noddy, I don't think I'll be doing what you suggest to impress my friends! Actually, I don't care if they are impressed. Like me as is or ... bye-bye now!

I guess the rich do what they want because they can.

i don't wow anyone either... i just love to have my fish tank.. thats all
i grew up in the middle of a 48 hectare fishpond... and when i am in the city
fish tnkis the only way to be with them again...plus i had tried having some
food at the backyard LOL

on the other side, what i've seen in Pattaya, Thailand is better than that.
they have four huge tank with plenty of good looking fishes but some are
already dying due to poor water condition.... i think they call the place
GEM WORLD...

I didn't bother reading the article - I just liked the photos:) I was intrigued by the suspended tanks.

www.spacearium.net/

not the correct dimensions for an oscar, but cool regardless:)
