i guess you know what you're talking about, but i thought he was gonna grow bigger.
Say past the 2 foot?
It must be this specific species that stays small, right?
oh, and one thing that keeps me from getting one, next to a fully stocked tamk, is it's diet.
IMO your fishfood for this one alone costs more them my dogfood in a year.
My oscar, puffers and gar all love those prawns, but they are terribly expensive.
i hardly eat them myself, for that reason.
What do you pay for a weeks meal for your aro, or a month, if that's easier on the math.
Just curious.
100 grams will cost me 2,5 euros, and that's for the tiny shrimps.

Its still growing Noddy, yes I too am hoping it makes 24" ish. my guess is it will grow a little slower now as it gets fatter too but I am not certain, it may just carry on at the same rate of growth?. food wise its not a cheap fish to keep and something everyone considering buying an arow should take into account.(around £3+ a wk) I was convinced before I bought the fish I would get it to eat pellets. I was so wrong

if I go away for holiday I can't put prawns in the auto feeder  Still its a pleasing fish to own, and my dream is to own a few more one day in a much larger tank. thats a long way off.
@ Paul, No its not a blue crossback just a redtail golden, the scale colour on mine stops at the 4th line with a little colour on the 5th. for a true crossback the colour should be full over the 5th line and the 6th too. and that would put another £1000 on the price

i can't believe the growth rate of your arow, its going to be a monster.
@ Nicki, I know you have always been a arow fan, Have you considered a very large tank to house all your fish in
i buy king prawns (uncooked)@ £5.50 every 2 wks. worms @ £7.50 per 20. crickets @£2.50 this lasts me around 3 wks. sometimes as an extra crayfish tails @£2.50
