Well, Brooksie has been off the forum for a few weeks, except for a post here and there. No one really cares why, so I won't bore you!!

My feeder breeding has started off slow but so far success. My original black molly baby is still alive and hungry as ever! He is growing like a weed.

I purchased 5 guppies. I awoke the next morning to 5 guppy babies. I have lost 2 of the adult guppies. Currently I have placed one very fat guppy in the breeder box in hopes of lots of babies.

The black mollies are surviving, 2 currently look preggers... not squared off yet. But I have the "Brooksie patience pants on" and am confident of more babies.

Well, that's the update. No pics... sorry, camera issues.

I lost the cycle in my tank (rookie mistake) when I purchased a new filter. Which caused me to loose some of my original mollies. All have been replaced and I added the guppies. That damn molly baby survived though! And my pleco! I wanted fish that had a lot of babies, often and that wouldn't be too big for my JD to eat.

And your 100th post was on my thread!! I feel so lucky! Keep up the good work my friend. You have a lot of experience to share!!

Back to the thread topic... (insert Noddy's hi-jacked thread pic here)

Losing a cycle is horrible! You work so hard to get it and then BAM... it's gone! Oh well, done and over and this "semi-experienced" fish keeper will not make that rookie mistake again! Hopefully!

i doubt you will! some things only take one time! and i believe loosing a cycle would be one of those things!

So I guess I spoke way too soon. Apparently I do NOT have my cycle back in my feeder/breeder tank. However, the only level that is off is the ammonia, 0.25 barely!!!

And apparently because of that... for lack of a better reason... my 2 week old black molly died this afternoon.

Sometimes I hate fish keeping !!
