i watch it when there's nothing on ..... but i do think most of their setup's are overstocked and not explained thoroughly enough.

Another thing that I find farcical about this program is how they make out that somebody comes to them asking for a tank, but they want it built in two weeks. I'm just watching one episode right now where a university wants a huge tank, but it's got to be done in two weeks before the kids come back. There is no way this would ever happen in business. You don't tell a company when you want it, they will tell you when they can do it, just like any other business. And if this company can simply build this tank straightaway then they obviously haven't got much work on. Also, I would be a little bit worried that it has been rushed and not built properly.

i really doubt that the time frame they give themselves to build out a tank that fast ... but with the magic of TV, sure looks like they did it in no time

I was watching an episode of Tanked today and this casino ordered a 35 foot long aquarium, yes, 35 foot. I think it was nearly 4000 gallons. They actually brought in real seawater straight from the sea in this great big lorry with a big container on the back. I dread to think how much this beast with cluster run. It's typical, they didn't even talk about the filtration, that would have been interesting to see what they were using. Delegating, it was a case of "we've added some live bacteria" I know some of you will know what I'm talking about if you seen the show before. I really don't know, maybe they have established bacteria that they can instantly seed the aquarium. But it doesn't sound as if that's how they do things, the terminology they use is sometimes rather strange.

You know I always wondered about the after math of it, like, who is going to keep up with maintenance ? I'm guessing they hire someone to do it along with the contract of building the tank.. I've watched one episode and that was it.

and that is why I prefer River Monsters over Tanked. Latter is easier to be staged.

I'm sure lots goes into it that they would not show the masses because they would think it is boring .. And Ik they are not the type of people to be like no those fish don't go together the more money the better and if one gets killed they probably sell the rich people another one I doubt they care

"Reality" TV @ it's absolute finest......

THOSE WHO REFUSE KNOWLEDGE ARE DOOMED TO FAIL.

WATER CHANGES ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS HOBBY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE SO OR SIMPLY DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING THEM, RE-HOME YOUR FISH, SELL YOUR AQUARIUM & FIND ANOTHER HOBBY, AS YOU WILL FAIL UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, & MISERABLY.

I read that the episodes are mostly staged to look like they are always in a rush and always saving the customer abd that the episodes really take a long time to film. Who knows but I would think that maybe they preseed their filters. The show would definitely be better if they focused more on filtration and species. River monsters imo is equally corny thst guy is a complete drama queen
