I will check out the vid when I get home, can't @ work.....

Ummm....those guys look like hybrids to me....based on the pic, they have that same deformed shape that BP's have.....Geo X Istlanum cross??

Shame you don't live on this side of the pond......my Jaguar would LOVE to have them over for dinner.......

Just kidding, I really wouldn't do that.....but I would adopt them out free of charge.

The Angel may eat the shrimp......

THOSE WHO REFUSE KNOWLEDGE ARE DOOMED TO FAIL.

WATER CHANGES ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS HOBBY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE SO OR SIMPLY DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING THEM, RE-HOME YOUR FISH, SELL YOUR AQUARIUM & FIND ANOTHER HOBBY, AS YOU WILL FAIL UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, & MISERABLY.

The balloon shape on istlanum's is a defect that can appear on any fish. You could say that this is similar to "dwarfism" in people. Great examples are balloon mollies, balloon rams, and your fancy goldfish. No crossbreeding necessary to obtain this genetic defect. BP's in fact were in fact bred for this appearance, no cross with another fish was necessary to obtain this spinal defect.

I seem to always collect the defect fish :)

so why do I breed dwarf fish?

if I bred from these would I make dwarf fish?

I am going to leave tank about 2weeks and then thats that the fish will have to be moved

I'm living my life, but not necessarily in the right order :)
