Ok so im conflicted.. got a chance to maybe swap my Senegal bichir for a dragon goby..... holy cool fish!!!! But its brackish. Anyone keep brackish tanks? It doesn't sound all that different from freshwater from what I've read. Any advice warnings,b4 I really think about it.

You have to buy a hydrometer to measure the salinity of the tank, and slowly get it to no higher than 1.010 (roughly 7.5 teaspoon of OCEAN salt per 10 gallons). Then you need to mix OCEAN salt prior to re-filling that tank. It's a little more work.

What size tank are you looking to keep the goby at?

It's hard work. Like a marine tank.

He doesn't have to use RO water, right?

brackish was hell for me, when i was keeping green spotted puffers.
Hard to find a good meter for salinity that low.
mixing and keeping temp up needs to be done 24 hours before wc.
You need a large bucket or tank to do a 50% wc a week and find a way to get the preped BW into the tank.
Nothing like a well running sw tank, which will only need a 5% wc now and then..
a 55Gl bw waterchange took me more time then a 50% wc in my 180.

BW did not work for me...... :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(
Might have worked if the other 4 tanks didn't need attention too, though.
