Hi'
Yesterday I decided to take my L354 Xingu New Polka Dot pleco out of the 180Gl.To move to my 90Gl,where he will be the biggest pleco.
He's been in there for a year and had such an excelent cave i only saw him for an hour over that year.
When I clean the tank I flush his cave, he never moved.
So in I went with my net and could not get to him.
Moved the huge piece of wood, the stones and then he fled.
Moving into the caves of the Big Guys.
Finally had EVERYTHING of my decoration moved aside and still no chance.
Then I was so fed up I took him with my hand and things were fine.
Next time i'll catch my fish by hand to start with, even my big PseudaL65.
I promise!
Be posting pictures soon for he's defenitly gonna give me some good photo-ops!
Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small!

plec could be easily pressed down and hold onto its head
especially when water is low. however, if it tried to get
away, your hand is in danger from its sharp fins and scales.

how would like a 5.0 kgs. plec in your hand. that is the usual
size of plec in our fresh water lake. (surf: Janitor fish at Laguna Bay)

Indeed after pressing him down, i could manouvre him out.
My wife and a friend had to come over and touch the fish.
It's covered in spiny-armoured plates and feels like very thick sandpaper!
Incredible to touch, so yeah ,bring on the 5KG fish!
