As you might know I lost three of my beloved clown Loach quite recently. I've still got one large one is all alone in the tank which I'm not particularly happy about. Anyway, the leporinus has has taken to sitting right next to the clown loach. It's almost as if he's trying to comfort him, or maybe befriend him, it's really weird, he normally doesn't bother with any of the fish in the tank with him. The clown loach would also keep themselves to themselves.
I may not always be right, but I am always the boss

When my largest oscar was sick (Died), all the other 3 oscars were sitting on the gravel next to him, i found that weird as well. it also looked like they were trying to comfort him

when i lost my LadyGreyBelly, all other fish became silent.
but i just thought they were also affected by whatever my
son had given when i was away. the pangasius who never stop
swimming become tame too. or perhaps they really have feelings too.

i have seen this too when my large oscar died. when it was sick and just sitting on the bottom the clowns sat next to him, normally the large oscar would see them off but as he was sick he didnt so the clowns comforted him. once he passed on the clowns comforted the oscar that used to be his partner. This fish was very short tempered but allowed the clowns next to her once the large fish had gone. I was surprised that the clowns would be so caring maybe this is why they like groups?

Dont worry to much Penn I think your clown will be fine alone for a time, as long as there are other fish in the tank it will find a friend )))
