Ok Thursday afternoon I got a call for a rescue.. I went Thursday night and picked up, A JD, A Green Sev, and a Beautiful Tiger... Now my question is... How do I sex a JD??? The tank they came out of was DISGUSTING!!! So everyone's colors are just starting to show...

female jacks have blue blotches on their gill plates, shorter rounded fins and a squatter body. where males are the opposite. if you post a pic (preferably a clear side view)and the jack is old enough im sure we will be able to sex it for you.

the jd looks female to me. the sev looks male and the tiger looks like he went a couple of rounds with a dovii but all in all nice looking rescues nicki

Thanks Cris.. That Oscar had to be held at my LFS until today because I was gone all weekend. That is what the stores O did to him... He is surprisingly active... That Sev is HUGE!! But they will all pull through so thats what counts!
