All the sudden when i woke up this morning, i saw my arowanas mouth was kinda half open and his belly was rounded, I have not fed him anything since yesterday. I was looking at all my fish and saw the Albino ID Shark was missing.... ?! why would he eat him they were together for a while now... I never knew he would even eat half of the ID shark because he was to big to fit in his mouth.. some of u guys seen my video on the video forums.

Arrowana have the potential to reach 3 feet & become voracious predators. Even though yours was probably quite small, it would still have the instinct to eat living swimming creatures. This is what I try and tell people, if you mix predators with non-aggressive fish then there's always the potential for trouble, even if they do seem to get on all right.
I may not always be right, but I am always the boss
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved

sorry for the loss FJ but that is expected. aro is a very vicious
predator and has fast acting mouth that works like a vacuum. anything
slender and half of their body size could fit to their stretchable mouth.
i had seen an aro having a gar on its mouth (tail exposed)for the whole day.
the following day, no trace of the gar and the aro is still looking for food.

Surprising. Arowana rarely bite of more than they can chew. And an ID shark, of all things. Those fish have wicked sharp spines.

yes...aro do not bite, they just scoop whatever moving object that
will fit to their mouth. i have not seen a single aro that tore down
their prey. their mouth could open like a pelican beak.

have anyone noticed that an aro mouth is as wide as their body width?
