Yesterday we went to weigh and measure some of the Kois at my friend pond.
The biggest was 2' and weighed 6,6 pounds.

Here i noticed an arrow on it's side!

These 3 came out of my tank last September, just before my Oscar was taking over the tank!

This was the most beautifull ghost, but he changed completely, looks kind dead

This was my favorite, it was blue in my tank, and now black and 1'2" long!

But I saw a wart-like spot on some fins, bleeding and the fin was kinda deteriorating. It was only on 3 fins of many Koi.
Any ideas what this may be?

Would you say these lumps resemble small clutches of eggs, do they feel rough when you touch them?

no, more like very soft gel-like warts.

Got to be honest, I have never kept carp before. You might want to get a specialist in koi carp to have a look .You also may want to Check this link out

I'll be hitting you up for advice Noddy when I start babysitting some koi for the winter.
If you can't beat them...arrange to have them beaten!

they get very violent when they breed. ive watched grass carp bite each other and latch onto the mates fin to keep it from escaping. its possible they are doing it to each other.

also, what is the bottom of the pond? is it rocks or concrete? its possible its abrasion.

Thanx,Boss!
That link is good!
Seems to be the thing and describes it in my own words!
Looks like those warts get a little cut by the rocks on the bottom.
It's only minor damage and we wouldn't have noticed it, if we didn't take the fish out of the water!
