My favourite has gotta be the JD, i love these fish, and my JD and oscar get on really well. Sometimes they compete for mealworms but 99% of the time they're good buddies.

i have many different species living with my oscars and so far i havent had much trouble with any of them. but all cichlids have different personalities and you can never predict what may happen in time.

having said that, with the mix i have id would have to say my rokteil is probably the best mate for my oscars followed by the salvini..
Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!

my goal is simple a complete understanding of the universe, why it is as it is and why it exists at all

i have had a blue ahli, green terror, and jack dempsey with my oscars.
the blue ahli was a nightmare- waaaay to agressive
the green terror does well except for about one week a month
the jack is the best, but is still very small
Please, for my sake, change your oil!

I have kept many of the 'standard' cichlids with oscars and most are ok as long as you avoid the aggressive ones. Terrors are best avoided. My synspilum hates oscars and bullies them but if fine with other fish. Severums are good with oscars but my favourite are frontosa. Lots of people think they shouldnt be kept with oscars as they come from different areas but i love the way fronts glide are the tank rather than swim. Saying that my front is only 6 inches and not full grown so i dont know how they are going to be when full grown
I can't get no sleep
