So ive setup my 5th and last tank,the wife is getting a bit anal about all these fish in my house.

The 5th tank ive setup in my lounge now and gave wife the say on what she wanted in it.

firstly weve put some gold severums in there which are really pretty and i just wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with these?????

ive also got 2loaches,2angels,2silver$$$,green terror they are all pretty big and seem to be very happy in their new home.

Any thoughts on the Severums??????????

Sorry, no experience with Severums although I'd love to have those. Penn has some though.
Just wanted to say that I'd personally never combine angels (you mean angelfish, no?) with anything potentially aggressive like a green terror - they can't swim fast due to their finnage and would be helpless in case of any territorial issues. Maybe it works for you though if they are used to each other from the beginning.

i agree with the angel part but wife likes them and so be it,luckly for me ive got alot of tanks available so ill keep a eye on the angels if the other fish start hassling them ill move them,funny enough my angels are the most aggresive fish in that setup and the green terror is still small so he's just cruising around for now.

I agree with metoo, watch that terror when he gets big, they can be really nasty.

I have some severums, the bigger 2 are about 5 or 6 inches. They are supposed to be real docile and non aggressive (except when breeding but most cichlids are aggressive when breeding). I have never seen them pursue any other fish but i do occasionally see them front up with another fish but that is and its over quickly. My fish are still young tho, they get up to 12 inches i believe

atwhat age do the severums get sexually mature,ive been told that the male have more of the red colors and the female has more of a dull goldish color but to me they all look the same.
