It's interesting to me how so many areas lack organizations dedicated to the aquarium hobby. The origin of this thought arises from one fact, aquariums are in 1/3 of homes in the developed world. 1 in every three homes has an aquarium. It is one of the top 5 recognized hobbies. We should all have a public forum ,where we can meet in person to discuss our passion. I believe complacency leaves us wanting but not doing anything to make it happen. It's like when people let their dreams drift away. This is nonsense, we get one life to live one chance. The average person lives to there 70's....That means at the age of 23...I am 1/3 of the way through my life...And that first 1/3 is spent finding out who I am and growing...It's this portion of my life that I am in now that is my prime...And I must now work to concrete my passions, and create a life worth remembering. I could go on and on with my passions, desires and inspiration for living but that is another story. It is with this thinking that I have decided to start a local aquarium club. I brainstormed, I organized a plan and my next stop is a few of the local pet stores for support. I urge all of you with out such organizations to form your own. I am sure there are many people in your surrounding area that share your passions. Let's give them and ourselves a gift...bring a local aquarium club to your area, because maybe others lack the faith. Maybe they don't believe in the strength and will power within themselves. I'll keep you posted on my progress

PS. It is a work in progress, with a coming deployment I will be working against the clock, my plan is to have the seed planted upon my departure and to help it grow along the way.
PS.II What I have written here I believe can be applied to many areas of life. Please live before the sands of time whisk you away before you have the chance. Don't be the one who looks back upon their life wishing they would have jumped off that plane or lead that movement or stood up for their beliefs. Often times you will see an elderly person sitting alone deep in thought. I stood watching this elderly man as the brisk winter wind nipped his nose and his eyes glossed over in the process of deep thought, it came to me...This man wasn't blank or staring at the road,I could tell by the smile that creased across his worn face..I could almost see the many sunsets that set upon on his brow. His skin almost leathery from the years spent under the sun...It's then that I understood what he was doing...He was staring not at the cold cracked street but back into his life...through the many pages of his past...His story......I say to you when you are elderly looking back on the story of your life...on the pages of your past...Will it be a smile across your face, or a frown from missed opportunities. Now is the time we write these pages....The present...The present is a present. A present giving to us by god.
