I have absolutely no idea, never kept frogs before. However, I'm quite sure on Oscar would be quite partial to frogs legs given half a chance.

They do occasionally sell them at a shop near me, I've never seen any much bigger than an inch. I would imagine that they are air breathing like any other frog, would you need biological filtration? I have no idea, I suppose they would still create ammonia through waste. You'd be better off finding a specialized forum that deals with this kind of area.

i had kept a bull frog under an AHU of an a/c in a warehouse where i was
working before...i am a warehouseman then....with the condensate, and moisture
under that AHU, the frog lived there for two years and got huge.... when the
engineering people remove the fan coil for rehab... the frog was about 1 kilo.
and i got suspended for keeping such creature inside the building...

all i can say is that frog doesn't need water parameter. just a water and foods,
they will survive. btw, it had live there with cockroaches and leftover food
that long....

what kind of frog are you talking about tony?

i used to have a pacman frog.

kept it 10 gallon tank lined with moss, and had a large shallow bowl of water for it. as long as you keep it humid, and dont let it get too dry it will thrive on crickets. when it gets bigger you can feed it small mice

lately i was thinking about getting a firebelly toad... they seem kinda cool looking to me

yeah i was looking at the pacman they look good, but dont move a lot... was thinkin more tree frogs, nocturnal if possible... they come in lots of vivid colours as well, assuming those are the type u can buy..

the new tank i bought needs inmates, I was thinkin frogs would be different, its only for my bedroom...

cheers guys, the comments are valued

I'm not sure I would want a frog croaking away in my bedroom all night, many of them are nocturnal. It wouldn't be very long before it would be croaking in a different way if it kept me awake, lack of sleep makes me very grumpy

I totally agree, I hate noise or light when I'm trying to sleep, I could not stand having any kind of fish tank bubbling away in my bedroom. I remember a few years ago a cricket somehow got into my bedroom, ever tried to find one of those little buggers?

I wonder what Tony will be having for breakfast a week after getting his frogs?

lol it'd be ACE to have a bit of croaking of an evening.. i dont strugle to sleep at all coz i only get between 5 and 6 hours a night, so when my head hits the pillow I'm out... and if they got too bad I'd jus relocate them to my dining room, that needs a tank anyways lol..

i'm currently looking at african reed frogs and arrow poison fogs as options if I can find a local supplier..

T

p.s remind me never to have u over for dinner Win, and if I do not to show u my frogs lol
