fire eels r nocternal so chances are you wont see her very often anyway, as well as this they can somtimes bury themsleves in the subsrate or under plants if u have sand or similier. what subsrate do you have? and whats in the tank with it? reason i ask is if its an O and its a small eel you may have a problem.

what are you feeding it? as normally you can only feed them earth worms etc as they wont accept pelleted food.

well atleast u can rule out it being buried in the substrate.

is there lots of places it could be hiding?

chances r its hiding from its huge tank mates!!

best thing u can do is try to locate it and make sure its alive. how big is the eel? may wnat ot consider a diff tank if its only small

well if he is gettin into ranodm places like that i imagine he'll be ok as the other fish wont be able to get at him. it is probz juts out of sight. keep an eye out tho and if u go much longer without seeing it star to get concerned.

not sure how the other fish will interact with it mind. not sure if they'll get on but iv never had fire eels so cant be certain.

let us know when you see it next if at all.
