if you have room for another its always tempting ) you won't know how its going to go unless you try. explain to the LFS and ask what they could do if it don't work out. return wise. moving the contents of the tank around can sometimes work.

agree with marcus, if u ahve plenty of room go for it and cross yr fingers, make sure u moniter the situation closely and have an arrangement with lfs that u can bring it back should it go tits up

I tried to introduce another Oscar to mine before I got the Silver Dollars.
My Oscar beat the crap out of it, so I had to remove it from the tank before he inflickted to much damage. My guess is it was another male.It only took him about 5 minutes to figure that out.

my wife just told me that the big oscar was chasing the new tiger when she looked at them but the tiger is a bit quick and gets away from him

It can be hit and miss when introducing a new oscar. There is usually some initial squabbles but its nothing to worry about unless one gets badly injured. Rearranging the tank decor helps. Just keep an eye on things and cross your fingers

you have to keep an eye with the small one. being under stress is also
bad for them, that can lead into some kind of illnesses too. it should take
his part for food

if i was to ad any new fish, with established territories and what not, i would rearrange the tank first if possible right when you added the new fish. that could cut alot of aggression out of the situation, because your dominant fish is not going to try to defend what is not familiar to it.
