I was wondering how to tell that they are either male or female.
My tank has turned out very strange..
Its more of a community tank now, It has 2 VERY calm GT's, a VERY Calm oscar that doesnt even fight back when bitten. A new Rainbow shark, 2 small bala sharks.
I know the tank is quite stocked. The Bala sharks take forever to grow, an when they do get to a bigger size, by that time ill be in my brothers room, which means a new tank. This is a guranteed upgrade. An oscar can live in a 45 gallon tank, ive seen alot of people put 2 in the tank which I dont dream of doing. If he ever starts to seem unhappy then I will find a way around it or upgrade earlier. The rainbow shark when fully grown is going to get his own 20 gallon tank! The 2 GT's will stay with the oscar.
So the tank looks pretty bare at the moment, hard to believe with the fish list, but it looks nearly empty believe me. So I was looking for fish that dont need alot of water, dont make too much mess, and wont become a meal.
So I thought either 1 male betta.
OR; 2-3 Female bettas.
My question is, how do i tell if they are female or not?
