I haven't called them yet. I had entertained the idea of keeping him and putting him in the 135 with the Oscar; but after getting up this morning (a whole 10 hours after he was put in the tank) and seeing his handy work - I think he's gotta go. The floor of the tank is already
littered with pleco sh*t! I did a 60% water change before adding the new fish, and the tank was all sparkly and clean - now it looks like crap. Literally. LOL
On a lighter note, both the Pictus seem to be doing fine (even after doing a Swan Dive out of the tank). The Oscar could care less about his new tank mates, the EBJD is actually making more of an appearance (I think it's because I moved his hidey-hole around and he doesn't like it) and the pleco doesn't really move from that one side of the tank. The six Tetras and the Oto settled into the 10gl just fine as well. I had to euthanize my baby Sailfin though. The Gourami that's in there is the meanest damn fish I've ever seen. He picked that poor fish almost to death. I'm half tempted to throw his cranky butt in with the Oscar and see who wins.
My hubby was flabbergasted with how big the pleco was. He says "That fish needs a bigger tank, we can't keep him!" (Well...DUH!) And I told him "That fish has just gone from an 6x6 filthy prison cell, to a very clean and tidy 2brm house. He's fine for right now." LOL
Seriously, these fish came from the
nastiest tank I've ever seen. 29gl, with two 5" Pictus, 6 Tetras, an Oto, and the Pleco. Guy said he did weekly 5 gallon water changes. I almost slapped him right there. I suppose he meant well, his little girls loved the Pleco and named him Norman, but that guy's got a LOT of homework to do before he buys anymore fish.
