I tried to make this as natural as possible, and altho i still have some more hiding places to install its pretty much sorted... opinions welcome as always... no toads as of yet, but i've attached a pic of what i'm getting, 10 fire bellied toads, so they should be very happy...

Does the water get filtered?
Are you ready to get them now, or should the tank settle some more?

really cool set up tony, we used 2 have red bellied toads at work,really coollittle guys

cheers guys, they grow to about 2" I believe, but theres plenty of room for them as this tank is 40" x 20" x 16"...

yes noddy I do have a filter in the water, I have installed a spray bar on it and it pumps across the tank from right to left, creating a good current (these toads are naturally from streams with current I believe so should be happy)..

the filter is really just to make the water clear and take out any bits of crap, but i think once the bioloical side is establised I might even see about getting some small danios or something similar, but need to check first the frogs wont eat them..

I am seriously considering having a multi-level tank setup when i do the hole in the wall project, so this I suppose is a bit of a tester to see how it turns out..

apparently they burrow a bit, so the land mass is made up of 3 pots 1/2 full of gravel, then a thick layer of peat, then live moss..

very cool tony! with 10 of them, i should hope you have luck with some breeding, maybe in while you can sell some offspring and get a return on your investement!

lol.. breeding would be cool i think, as my LFS would take them off my hands... I'm gunna get some pond weed and stuff next, and maybe a couple of live plants... theres enough room so why not.. will look at the danio thing as well
